David Ward MP and Baroness Kramer will meet catering apprentices training at Bradford College.
Late last year, David Ward launched his campaign to recruit 100 new apprentices in 100 days ahead of the National Apprentice Week (February 6th -10th). On Thursday Baroness Susan Kramer and David will visit Bradford College to speak to the catering apprentices.
The Coalition has made increasing the number of people on apprenticeships a key commitment to increase jobs. The Coalition Government created 440,000 apprenticeships (the highest number ever in 2011)
Susan Kramer said:
"The Apprenticeships drive by the Coalition Government is giving people the opportunities to get their foot on the employment ladder there is no limit to the types of businesses that can offer apprenticeships which are a great way for businesses to get staff trained with the skills they need to grow and prosper."
David Ward MP said:
"I am determined to make sure that everyone in Bradford has the opportunity to find work and given the tough economic climate apprenticeships are an excellent opportunity for people to find new careers and develope new skills."
